Sometimes you just gotta throw all the rules and technicalities out of the window in order to let your imaginations run wild.

Anatomy Works

Reaction to my action

Concept Designer: A person, for the entertainment industry, capable of providing an infinite number of design variations of characters, environments, and vehicles and props for stories taking place in the past present or future.

"Chin up, Pick yourself up, it'll all eventually get better if you keep at it"

As I prepare myself for the entertainment industry, I've grown to understand that shapes, forms, colors, and business skills are all that really matters within the process. So I will be spending a lot of hours fine tuning the amount of speed it takes to come up with ideas and applying them in the most polished way, starting with anatomy practice.

On my mind:

BILL GATES' 11 RULES THAT STUDENTS DO NOT LEARN IN SCHOOL

In Bill Gates' new book (Business @ The Speed of Thought), he lays out 11 rules that students do not learn in high school or college, but should. He argues that our feel-good, politically-correct teachings have created a generation of kids with no concept of reality who are set up for failure in the real world.
RULE 1 - Life is not fair; get used to it.
RULE 2 - The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
RULE 3 - You will NOT make 40 thousand dollars a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice president with a car phone, until you earn both.
RULE 4 - If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. He doesn't have tenure.
RULE 5 - Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different word for burger flipping, they called it opportunity.
R

ULE 6 - If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, So don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
RULE 7 - Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parents' generation, try "delousing" the clothes in your own room.
RULE 8 - Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life has not. In some schools they have abolished failing grades; they will ask as many times as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
RULE 9 - Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself. Do that on your own time.
RULE 10 -Television is NOT real life! In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
RULE 11 - Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Turning Point

Take all failures, mistakes and regrets and turn them into inspirational turning points. If you can't accept the fact that you've made mistakes in your life where will you find the weak points to improve upon?

'Till the Sun comes up

The Sun rises, I can feel the temperature slowly rising as the room gets brighter by the minute. It's 5am, the hint of blue rays seeps through the shades of the blinds I begin to grow weary and think, "gotta keep going, gotta keep working." If my sheer determination could glow I'd be brighter than that Sunrise... There's nothing more inspirational and catalytic than the feeling like you've been kicked to the ground....

Be a fan - The right way

I'm so sick of fans hating on their own team, especially when it's the team that need their fans most. Fans should maintain their energy from 1st period all the way to the end, knowing that their club will persist no matter what. Typical SJ fans are quick to dismiss the sharks as soon as game 3's and 4's start going sour. We're still a young franchise and as fans, we don't deserve the cup until we can back up our team through thick and thin.

Adventurous Kids

Perseverance and Sheer determination

Perseverance and sheer determination is what sets you apart from everyone else. Your "madness from within" is what's going to test you and challenge you. You're the type that that can't afford to make mistakes, because you've exhausted all other options; your back is against the wall and you know you've run out of second chances.

Maintain and breath

Never in my life have I doubted myself or given up on my goals. Everything is constant, and everything is relative to every action. Live your life, define success, and live by it.

workin progress part 1

First Draft sketch - WitchCraft

What's crackin'?!

Reminiscing over one of my long lost art. Did this about 3 or 4 years back. Spent a good 50-60 hours on it only to delete the source file during an unstable haze. I was quite volatile back then...

WOOO YEA!!!

Alongside my aspiring artistic journey, my love for art is balanced with my love for hockey: without physical health lacks mental health. Started the day off with some "hiit" training. High intense interval training, good for hockey, football, and losing fat. Also, a few unique sets of bench presses by making immediate weight switches from low reps to high reps each set. By the time I left the gym I was swimming in my own sweat.

still early in the morning I had time to draw before going into the office. I've been leaning towards the more simplified "pixar-esque" style to cater story telling:

I'm quite happy with more brilliant colors and hard edged brushes.
